C-Murder Out Of Prison: Rapper Serving Life Sentence, Granted Brief Leave To Attend Grandmother's Funeral, Lil Romeo Sends Out 'Blessed' Tweets
C-Murder has been released from prison...briefly. Though he recently had his appeal of a second degree murder conviction denied, the Angola State Penitentary did allow the man born Corey Miller is the brother of Percy Miller, better known by his stage name of Master P.
Romeo Miller (Lil Romeo) snapped the above photo and took to Twitter to share how nice it is to sit and have a conversation with his uncle.
Miller was a member of the No Limit movement that took over hip-hop in the late '90s and early '00s. He had eight studio albums under his belt before being charged in the 2002 shooting death of a 16-year-old at a Louisiana nightclub.
C-Murder was found guilty of second degree murder in a 10-2 conviction in 2009 (Louisiana is one of the few states that allows murder convictions to not be unanimous). His case has been appealed to higher courst in Louisiana and the US Supreme Court, citing the split decision.
However, both courts rejected the case.
