CHVRCHES 'The Mother We Share' Music Video
If you aren't still stuck on Icona Pop's 2012 contributions, then it's likely that CHVRCHES "The Mother We Share" is your indie-pop song of the summer. The tweEDM jam from the Glaswegian band finally has a video to compliment its awesome sonics.
Check it out below:
"The Mother We Share" features a lot of superimposed and backlit shots of CHVRCHES performing. It's the exact sort of thing that would come off as pretentious in less well-crafted clips (but the shots in question just look so damn cool). The video won me over much in the same way that the song did. Initially, I was embarrassed to enjoy such an obviously feminine track, but the song won out by being deliciously catchy and well put together.
There's lots of geometry, stars and possible mutant superpowers throughout. An interesting video for a great song.
CHVRCHES debut album The Bones Of What You Believe drops September 24.
