Backstreet Boys 'America's Got Talent' Results Show Performance Aug. 14: Following Twitter/Letter Campaign, Fans React to Upcoming Performance with Excitement
Who says Backstreet Boys don't have a dedicated fan base anymore? After fans wrote letters and campaigned for BSB to perform on "America's Got Talent," the "I Want It That Way" have confirmed that they will appear on an upcoming episode of the NBC reality competition.
Making the announcement on their official Twitter today (Aug. 8), Backstreet Boys said they will perform on the Aug. 14 results show of "America's Got Talent." "Remember when u guys Tweeted & wrote in to @nbcagt earlier this year? Guess what? We're performing on #AGT next week!" they wrote. "We can't wait to perform on @nbcagt next Wednesday! Who's gonna be tuning in?"
Using the hashtag #BSBonAGTAugust14, fans expressed their excitement to watch their favorite boy band.

According to a press release on their website, Backstreet Boys will play the title track and lead single from "In A World Like This" on "America's Got Talent."
Of course, this won't mark the first time BSB have played the song live on TV by a long shot. Before the release of their comeback album, Backstreet Boys stopped by "Kelly & Michael" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" as well as other programs to promote the new single.
The Backstreet Boys episode of "America's Got Talent" will air on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 9 p.m. on NBC. It will be the results show from the Aug. 13 episode, wherein the top 12 contestants will compete to remain in the competition.
Until they stop by "America's Got Talent," Backstreet Boys will continue performing on their In A World Like This Tour with Jesse McCartney and DJ Pauly D. Before making stops in Ohio, BSB will perform in Clarkston, Michigan, tonight (Aug. 8).
