Season 4 of the HBO smash hit "Game of Thrones" is currently in production and actor Kit Harington has revealed some interesting spoilers for the upcoming season.

Harington sat down with TVLine to promise that "the pressure's on" for his character, Jon Snow, next season.

"It's a big season for Jon Snow," Harington said. "Without telling you what happens, it's a heavy action season...God, this is probably my biggest season to date. So I've got to live up to it and do right by Jon and do right by the books' fans."

The site reports that in George R.R. Martin's books (upon which the series is based), Jon Snow experiences a deep and personal loss when he rejoins the remnants of the Night's Watch. But Harington said that comes after the "heartbreak (and) grief" he feels when he learns about the devastation the brotherhood suffered in Season 3.

"He's learning of his brothers' deaths and his stepmother's death, although they didn't get on, and he's learning of the Lord Commander's death," Harington said. "On top of that, he's trying to get over the heartbreak of leaving Ygritte, and he's having to deal with the backlash from him leaving the Night's Watch."

Ygritte was Jon's wildling girlfriend whom he left last season, but not before she fired a couple of arrows into him. Harington said she is still "very much so" on his mind in Season 4, but the character may not say so.

"Jon doesn't really talk about his emotions. (He's) an interesting one to play. It's all internal," Harington said.

He also revealed that Jon is "nervous" about all the forces heading south into the Seven Kingdoms.

"It's not an easy place for him at the start of the season," Harington said.
