According to some reports, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge plan on using personal family photos for their official royal portrait with their son, Prince George Alexander Louis. Also, sources are claiming that, since this portrait will be from their personal collection, it is likely that the Royals will post it to their Instagram and Twitter accounts. So it looks like Kate and Will are modernizing the Royal family in a way! It is 2013 after all.

"One of the options they are looking at is releasing a couple of family photos they have taken themselves," a source said of the Duke and Duchess breaking tradition. They now have to choose from photographs taken by Carole, Michael, Pippa and Kate Middleton herself.

An insider said: "Kate has a great eye for pictures and wants the first official ones of George to be natural and in a relaxed environment."

Who do you think will have their photograph chosen? And once chosen, do you think the proud parents will post the photo to the Kensington Palace Twitter account?

Many sources are assuming Kate and Will might end up like most parents and post baby pictures to their Twitter feed. Though in this situation, the two don't have accounts but their home does. So an official portrait will likely be posted on the official Kensington Palace Twitter feed when the couple has chosen the right photograph.

In other news, the Prince of Cambridge is set to be christened in October with his aunt, Pippa, favored to be named godmother. So now we have something else to count down to!
