Drake New Album 2013: 'Nothing Was The Same' Cover Art Revealed Via Instagram, Release Date Pushed Back To Sept 24
After announcing that his new album Nothing Was The Same would be pushed back a week to September 24, YMCMB artist Drake revealed the cover art for his new album in a series of Instagram posts.
The cover art consists of two paintings: a baby Aubrey looking right (that's art for "into the future") and an adult Drake looking left (take a guess). The images stick to common Drake themes of striving for something better, the influence that fame and fortune can have on a life and a desire to return to a more innocent past.
Fans seem to be divided on the artwork for Nothing Is The Same. A sampling of comments:
"Looks like #BlueIvy to me lol."
"Is this Drake Sims character I'm ready for that album though because after drake got in the game Nothing Was the Same."
"With all my respect @champagnepapi you should get a better cover bro! Just giving a small opinion."
"This cover Dope af f**k what you heard you already know all these song are going to be real af anyways !!"
Drake also sent out a picture of both images combined.
What do you think of the Nothing Was The Same cover art? Are you bummed that you will have to wait an extra week to hear it?
