Demi Lovato 'GLEE': 'Heart Attack' Singer will Play Love Interest to Naya Rivera's Santana Lopez, Production on Episode Begins, Lovato Twitter Expresses Excitement

Details about Demi Lovato's run on "Glee" have finally emerged, and it seems as though the "Heart Attack" singer is going to be a love interest!

In an interview with MTV News at the VMAs, "Glee" actress Naya Rivera revealed a little more about how her character, Santana Lopez, and Lovato's Dani will interact. "I mean, she's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that. We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her," she said. "We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited."

The news that Lovato and Rivera will be love interests is new, but it was always confirmed that Lovato's stint on "Glee" would mostly involve her interacting with Rivera, Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) and Adam Lambert's new character.

News of Lovato's arc on "Glee" first hit the Internet Aug. 19, and official confirmation of the singer's stint came soon after.
