Man of Steel 2 casting rumors are swirling at a feverish pace, especially after the announcement from Warner Bros. that Ben Affleck would be playing Batman in the new Superman movie. So fans know that Henry Cavill will be facing off against Ben Affleck in Superman vs. Batman. However, who will be playing the part of the villain in the Man of Steel sequel? There were plenty of rumors that Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston would be playing Lex Luthor, but now the actor is saying it's all news to him.

Cranston was heavily rumored to be playing the main Superman villain in Man of Steel 2, but the actor told the Boston Globe that "this is all news to me." Cranston, who has been a fan favorite ever since starring in Breaking Bad, would likely be a popular choice, but it doesn't sound like he is anywhere close to playing Luthor. "I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I'm known to be bald.'What bald guy can we get?'" Cranston joked with the Boston Globe. "The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him." So it looks like fans need to go back to square one when it comes to thinking of actors who can play Luthor.

There was another rumor that is sure to have the Internet in a frenzy. This time, the rumor was started by the actor himself. According to Variety, Justin Timberlake said during an interview on New York City's Fresh 102.7 FM that he would like to play The Riddler. Timberlake said he would rather play a bad guy than a superhero like say Robin. "Not a chance in hell. I ain't playing Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie," Timberlake said on 102.7's "Jim & Kim Show." "Now, a villain! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funnily enough, is the Riddler," Timerlake exclaimed. "The Riddler is my favorite villain. The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm wanna play proper crazy."

Who knows, maybe Timberlake's comments just gave Warner Bros. an idea.
