Jessica Simpson New Album 2013: Second Baby Doesn't Deter Songwriting Process for Comeback Album, Eric Johnson's Fiancee Tackles Body Weight Critics
Jessica Simpson definitely has her hands full since giving birth to her son Ace less than a year after her daughter Maxwell's birth, but the singer-turned-actress is ready to hit the studio again. Though she hasn't released a studio album in about 3 years, Simpson says that she is looking forward to her comeback and is ready to start soon!
"She is excited to start recording songs that she wants to record," an insider said of Jessica's musical comeback. "At this point in her career, she no longer has to worry about singing songs a record label or dad tells her to record. She can sing whatever makes her happy, and that is exactly what she intends to do."
The 33-year-old mother of two is definitely an established name in the entertainment world, but she still has to deal with a number of critics. These days, however, Jessica gets more criticism about her weight than her career choices.
She recently responded to such criticisms: "We are creating a human life. I think we get every excuse to eat a doughnut. It's very hurtful, especially when you're so emotional and going through all of these hormonal changes... I am just one of those pregnant women who gains a lot of weight. I have really big boobs. Even trying as hard as I did with Ace I still gained."
Perhaps her new album will address these critics as well? IF anything, we can expect more love songs considering her relationship with fiancé Eric Johnson seems to get better every day.
"My relationship with Eric has only grown stronger with the additions to our family," she said. "I love seeing him as a dad. I feel like I reached a new level of love for him and I didn't think I could love him any more than I did already."
She added: "Becoming a parent is such a unique and profound experience and doing it together has brought us even closer."
