After losing in their first game, if Georgia loses to South Carolina again today they could find themselves out of the top 20 and almost assuredly out of national title game contention. On the other hand, the Gamecocks' star is rising with defensive standout Jadeveon Clowney. The main criticism of Clowney and the Gamecocks' defense was that they looked tired and even sluggish at times during their week one win over the North Carolina Tarheels.

I fully expect Clowney to come out and have a monster game on the defensive side of the ball after listening to all the critics. The Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back after a heartbreaking 38-35 loss week one against Clemson. Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray will have to constantly have Clowney in the corner of his eye as he tries to navigate around the Gamecocks defense. It will be just a little bit tougher with the loss of receiver Malcom Mitchell, who tore his ACL week one.

I think this will be the season the Gamecocks garner national spotlight and battle for national title contention. I see the Gamecocks coming away with the victory. According to SB Nation, Vegas have the Bulldogs as a three-point favorite with the over/under at 56 points.
