Kristin Cavallari Busted for Speeding: MTV Reality Star Arrested in Illinois For Having Out of State License, Posts Bail, Released
Former MTV reality star Kristin Cavallari was busted for speeding while driving in Chicago last week. TMZ reports that 26-year-old former "The Hills" star was pulled over by Evanston Police Department for not having a valid Illinois driver's license. Cavallari was then escorted to the police department and given a $120 citation and released. Cavallari, who also lives in Los Angeles according to the Daily News, spends time in Chicago with her husband Jay Cutler who is the quarterback for the Chicago Bears and has a game this weekend.
Cavallari joked about the incident later tweeting, "Who knew having a California drivers license in Illinois was a CRIME to be escorted to the police station to post bail?!! What a morning." According to NBC Bay Area, an official said that Cavallari was pulled over at 11:50am on Friday while driving on Sheridan Road. The infraction was apparently made worse because Cavallari had a California driver's license and not a Illinois one.
Although it looks bad in the headlines that Cavallari was arrested, it turns out it was nothing more than a speeding ticket. It looks like all is back to normal in the Cavallari, Cutler household after the minor infraction.
Cavallari and Cutler got married back in June and had their first child together, Camden Jack, in August of 2012. Cavallari likely was in Illinois, preparing to watch her husband play in week one of the NFL season on Sunday. The Bears open their 2013-2014 season at Soldier Field in Chicago against the Cincinnati Bengals.
