A$AP Rocky: Possible Rihanna Flame Apologizes For Awkwardness With Gay NBA Player Jason Collins At MTV VMAs
More than a few people noticed how uncomfortable A$AP Rocky looked around openly gay NBA center Jason Collins at the MTV VMAs. The possible Rihanna flame seemed to fidget and side-eye Collins, the first active player in any of the big four American sports leagues to come out of the closet, as he gave a speech detailing his coming-out journey. Rocky, who has gone on record as 100% pro-gay, apologized and set the record straight in an interview with The Stashed.
"I'm mad that my facial expressions was like that because I'm not homophobic at all, and that whole thing just came off real homophobic.I didn't really notice it until I got home and saw it," Rocky said. "I apologize to Jason for that, because people was laughing and shit, and you know... I really don't think that's funny."
The A$AP Mob rapper, who used his moment on stage to awkwardly plug A$AP Ferg's (fantastic) Trap Lord, let people know that making light of the situation was not cool in his book.
"I saw they were making all the memes and pictures and making fun of him. There's people out there that think I was doing that to be funny, and truthfully I got gay people in my family. I don't give a fuck if you gay or you not, I just found it odd that MTV wanted to stand me next to this nigga when they are talking about gay people, that's all. You know what I'm saying?"
What do you think of A$AP Rocky's apology? Do you buy it?
