Kendrick Lamar 'Control' Verse: 50 Cent Talks K-Dot's New Album On Hot 97

Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse still manages to generate quite a bit of buzz despite being a. not very good and b. not even Kendrick's best takedown of the entire rap game (that would be Section.80's "Rigamortis." Say it with me: "He dead. Amen."). However, people are still talking about it, so it's my duty to cover it. Most recently, 50 Cent spoke about his conversation with K-Dot after the verse dropped.

"When I talked to him 'he said the records I just made are better than the last records that are out," 50 said in an interview with Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97. "What I'm saying on the record is if they don't get better they ain't going to make it past my next album."

Kendrick claimed he talked to the "Kings of New York" about his staking their territory in a recent interview with Rosenberg. He didn't name names, but now we can assume 50 was included in the conversation.

In addition to revealing his talk with the TDE member, 50 said that none of the many, many responses have done anything for him. He also said, if he was Big Sean, he would have redone his verse to keep from getting muscled out of his own song.

"I would've changed my verse. It's Big Sean's record and nobody knows," 50 said.
