'Grand Theft Auto V' (Unofficially) Most Expensive Game Ever Made

While only time can tell if it was all worth it, it seems as if Rockstar's latest, Grand Theft Auto V, will take the crown of "Most Expensive Video Game Ever Made" with a whopping estimated budget of $265 million.

That budget estimate is via The Independent, who claims that the cost was split down the middle between production and marketing efforts. Statista took the rest of the top 10 most expensive video games and turned them into a handy graph.

Star Wars: The Old Republic takes the two spot with a budget of $200M. Disney Infinity (wat), Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV round out the top five. 

While most of these are expected, it's interesting to see almost-completely-forgotten Too Human on this list (and let's all take a moment to shed a single tear for the Shenmue sequel that will likely never be.)
