Katy Perry Drops Juicy J-less Version Of 'Dark Horse' Off New Album 'Prism'
Katy Perry's trappy, snapping Juicy J collaboration "Dark Horse" is looking like it will be a standout from Perry's new album Prism. But apparently, Perry's duet with the undisputed king of strange collaborations rustled quite a few jimmies, because a Juicy J-less version of the single has hit the internet.
Check it out below:
This version removes the Stay Trippy rapper's valiant effort to not talk about sex, which is a shame. Juicy's attempts to not talk about freaky women are made all the more difficult by the fact that he can't say "no" to ratchet...well, you know. Seriously, you can hear J's breaking point in this song. He goes on and on about romance until he gets to the "Sleeping Beauty...put her in a coma" line and then it's straight nastyness from there on out.
That struggle is the stuff of Greek mythology and, while Katy's vocal is still incredible, the song is noticeably lacking without it.
