Manchester United Vs. Liverpool, Sept. 25 2013 [VIDEOS]: Watch & Listen, Capital One Cup Match Free Online Live Streaming
Two British powerhouse football clubs are facing off today when Manchester United takes on Liverpool in this 2013 Capital One Cup matchup. A lot of attention is on Liverpool's Luis Suarez who has completed his 10-game ban for biting Chelsea player Branislav Ivanovic. Does this returning star mean that Liverpool will defeat Manchester United? Will he even play?
According to Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, a decision on Suarez's participation in the Capital One Cup has yet to be made. But Rodgers did add that the 26-year-old star would be ready to play if he was called upon.
"It has been a really difficult time for him not playing games," he said. "How he has prepared himself over the last number of weeks has been fantastic. He's really champing at the bit to help the team. Everyone knows the depth of his quality and his attitude. Once he gets back on the field again he will show what he has shown since he's been here."
Meanwhile, the recent drama over Suarez's disappointment in his squad and wanting to leave the Premier League seems to have cooled. In fact, Suarez was apparently warned by recently retired Liverpool star Robie Fowler to not tarnish the club's name anymore.
"I know in the summer it looked like he was leaving and quite rightly Liverpool expected a bit of loyalty back off him and thankfully he is still a Liverpool player," Fowler said. "I don't think he'll get many more chances but I don't think he will be doing anything remotely as silly as he has."
Do you think Suarez will see some game time today? Do you think he'll tarnish Liverpool's image anymore?
