'Need For Speed' Movie Trailer [VIDEO]: 'Breaking Bad' Star Aaron Paul Races into Leading Role in Video Game Film Adaptation

AMC's Breaking Bad might be coming to an end this Sunday, but that doesn't mean Aaron Paul will be out of our lives for that long. In fact, the Emmy Award winner stars in a new action film based on a popular racing video game. Need for Speed might be a very big transition from the television drug drama that we know Paul from, but it is definitely a step in the right direction for a successful film career.

Sure this movie will be a cut-and-dry racing movie, but it will surely do well enough at the box office because of that fact. Plus fans of Paul will likely want to keep seeing his work no matter how different it is from his Breaking Bad role of Jesse Pinkman.

Need for Speed also stars Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Scott Mescudi, Ramon Rodriguez, Michael Keaton, Rami Malek, Dakota Johnson and Harrison Gilbertson.

Here is the synopsis for Need for Speed thanks to Variety:

"[The] story follows an underground racecar driver (Paul) who owns a garage that modifies expensive cars to make them faster for racing. Framed and sent to prison when his best friend is murdered during a race, he seeks revenge upon his release.

"Cooper will play the other male lead of Dino, an ex-NASCAR driver who uses his connections to the wealthy to create a business rebuilding and modifying supercars. Imogen Poots... is making a deal to play an exotic car dealer who does business with Paul and Cooper."
