Ariana Grande Dating Nathan Sykes 2013 [VIDEO]: The Wanted Singer Had Crush on Selena Gomez Before Becoming Twitter Official w/ 'Yours Truly' Songstress

In a recent interview with We Love Pop, Nathan Sykes admitted to having a crush on Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. The member of The Wanted was pretty open about his crush on the "Come and Get It" songstress, but don't start to think that his newly confirmed relationship with Ariana Grande is in trouble. This interview took place before Sykes and Grande revealed their relationship on Twitter, so Nathan was still technically single at the time!

When asked about the girls in his life, Sykes responded: "Now this is why I'm so jealous of Max [George]! He follows someone on Twitter, then he is in the tabloids saying he is in a relationship. I started following the Selena Gomez and nothing. Where is my relationship?!"

Considering he dropped Selena's name right into the laps of We Love Pop, the conversation quickly turned to the possibility of a relationship.

"To be honest, I always liked Selena, but I really did not want to go that side because Justin would kill me!" Nathan said, referring to his "Believe" tour mate. "I would probably receive a call from [our manager] Scooter telling me to stay away! But she is splendid. She is perfect."

Perhaps Sykes was enjoying the last few moments of his bachelorhood before he "settled down" with pop sensation Ariana Grande and announced their relationship to the world on Twitter.

Nathan also admitted to being a bit star-struck when seeing Justin Timberlake in person.

"I must have looked like a complete idiot," he told the magazine. "My friends were like, 'Just say hi,' but I could not even talk to her! . . . But that's how I am, I'm very, very nervous around girls that I really like. I need to improve my game. To be honest, I'm garbage anyway, I would be a terrible boyfriend."
