Jonas Brothers New Album 2013 'V' [UPDATE]: 'First Time' Band Talks About Mature Direction, Split from Hollywood Records, Hiatus in 'Out' Magazine

The Jonas Brothers have been laying low for a few weeks now. With the brotherly trio busy in different parts of the world, there has been little news about their upcoming fifth studio album "V." However, a new interview with the "First Time" band has been published in Out magazine.

The Jonas Brothers took a hiatus from 2009 to 2012, wherein Joe and Nick pursued solo projects and Kevin got married and began his reality show with his wife, "Married to Jonas." Kevin insisted that the break was necessary. "For seven years, it was nonstop. We had moments where we got frustrated with one another, and we really just needed time alone," he said. "Taking the break was so nice because we worked our asses off, but we did things for ourselves. Then, we came back at the right time to do this all over again."

The resulting album of that reconciliation, "V" will be the first for the Jonas Brothers since 2009's "Lines, Vines and Trying Times." It will be their first on their own label, Jonas Enterprises, and will include more mature singles with a rock edge, including "The World" and "What Do I Mean To You?"

Before Jonas Enterprises, the Jonas Brothers were signed to Disney extension Hollywood Records, which houses artists such as Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. But for the new Jonas era, it just wasn't the right fit. "We were in that place where we were starting to think about being able to make our grown-up record," said Joe. "We didn't want to talk about if they would put a parental advisory label on it."

The Jonas Brothers' new album "V" is reportedly due out sometime this fall. Singles "Pom Poms" and "First Time" precede the comeback album for the boy band.

Before the release of "V," the JoBros will hit the road this month, beginning in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 11.
