Although there has yet to be a trailer released for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, "The Day of the Doctor," Whovians worldwide are still excited about the simulcast set up for November 23rd. This simulcast will broadcast the special episode featuring Matt Smith, David Tennant, John Hurt, Billie Piper, Jenna-Louise Coleman and more. It will be broadcast to 75 different countries.

Here is an excerpt from Mstars' previous coverage on that subject:

[We] didn't get to see the trailer, but thankfully the actual special, airing November 23, will be broadcast simultaneously worldwide for everyone.

This simulcast is a way to avoid spoilers.

"It's always been our ambition to work with our broadcast partners so that international 'Doctor Who' fans can enjoy the 50th Anniversary special at the same time as the UK. We'll have more details soon about our very exciting global plans for November," BBC Worldwide said in a statement.

Also, showrunner Steven Moffat recently made an announcement, declaring his excitement about the simulcast for the special.

'The Doctor has always been a time traveler," Moffat said. "Now he's travelling time zones. On 23 November, it won't be the bad guys conquering the Earth - everywhere it will be The Day of the Doctor!"

Tim Davie, chief executive of BBC Worldwide, had this to say about the simulcast:

"Few TV shows can still lay claim to being appointment viewing, but 'Doctor Who' takes this to another level.... We wanted to create a truly international event for 'Doctor Who' fans in as many countries as possible."
