Adele New Album 2014? OneRepublic Singer/Producer Ryan Tedder Teases 'Skyfall' Singer is Back in Studio for '21' Follow Up and 'Better Than Ever' [VIDEO]
Is the follow-up to Adele's smash hit 2011 album "21" on its way? According to OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder's recent interview with The Herald Sun, the answer is "yes."
According to the UK news site, Tedder is hard at work on the follow-up to "21." Though he must remain largely secretive about the new project, he can reveal one thing: even after a slight break to focus on her personal life and new family, Adele has still got it.
"Adele sounds even better than before. I love where she's at, she's still my favorite artist in the world. I would press pause on my entire life if it meant I could be in the studio for a month straight with her," he said.
Nothing for sure is known about Adele's third studio album, but it's likely that the record will take on a completely different tone than "21." Inspired by an intense break up, Adele's Grammy winning album was full of empowered anthems and heartbreaking, relatable ballads, such mega-hits as "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in the Deep."
Now, however, Adele is 25, settled with boyfriend Simon Konecki and a mother to the nearly one-year-old baby boy Angelo. It's likely that the new record (will it be called "25?") will be more inspired by Adele's love.
The new album won't be the first new music from Adele since "21." Earlier this year, she released the soothing James Bond theme song "Skyfall," to general critical acclaim.
