Ariana Grande, Jai Brooks Break Up [UPDATE]: 'The Way' Singer Responds to Cheating Accusations on Twitter: 'I Am No Longer Afraid of You or Your Lies Anymore'

In the very early hours of the morning on Oct. 7, Janoskians performer Jai Brooks posted a long Twitlonger message to his 1.1 million Twitter followers, detailing his feelings on his break up with "The Way" singer Ariana Grande and giving his side of the story. According to Brooks, Grande cheated on him with The Wanted's Nathan Sykes.

This morning, Grande saw the open letter and responded to the letter and defended herself on Twitter, giving her side of the story.

According to Grande, Brooks' message was essentially blackmail.

"Woke up this morning in complete and utter shock... I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world... I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore," Grande wrote before standing up for herself and girls everywhere. "I'm going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity... But I will never be any man's press opportunity.

Girls... RESPECT YOURSELVES Keep your head held high and speak only kind words. Know your truth... no one can ever take that away from you. It's always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with. I'm finally happy words can't hurt me anymore."

Grande and Brooks first split in August, and one week later, "The Way" singer was linked with her "Almost Is Never Enough" partner Nathan Sykes from The Wanted. Grande and Sykes confirmed their relationship in late September, following a date at Disneyland.

As of press time, Nathan Sykes has not responded to the cheating accusations or Grande's tweets.
