Ed Sheeran New Album 2013: 'Give Me Love' Singer's Upcoming Record Title 'Won't Have Regular Name,' Lupe Fiasco Song Collaboration 'Old School Love'
One of 2013's biggest breakout artists, Ed Sheeran, is currently gearing up for his follow up to his last record, +, and he's excited to talk about it! Of course we are very excited to hear new songs and what influenced his new music, but Ed recently shared some information about the most important part of his new album: the title!
In a recent interview with Noise11.com, Sheeran explained that the album already has a title, but he can't share it with his fans just yet.
He said: "I have a name for it but I can't tell you the name just yet but it doesn't start with a letter."
But another interview with The Daily Star revealed a bit more information concerning the title of his sophomore album.
"I can't call an album + and then give the one after a regular name," the singer exclaimed.
Is this hint enough for you to guess what Ed Sheeran's next album will be called? Clearly he's going to try keeping it creative like his debut record, but that leaves a world of possibilities open. Whatever he ends up calling it, the album is sure to be great considering the collaborations involved with it.
Sheeran recently revealed two producers on his new album: "Rick Rubin is doing the record I think. And I did one track with Pharrell that was really cool."
Another musical collaboration involving Sheeran is Lupe Fiasco's song "Old School Love." Though this song won't appear on Ed's new album, it will be the first single off of Fiasco's record Tetsuo and Youth.
When asked how this collaboration came together, Ed said, "We have the same A&R in America ... and, he just gave me about seven beats and said write choruses to all of these beats. I'm a massive Lupe Fiasco fan, so it's cool."
