Wisconsin vs. Northwestern Football 2013: Watch LIVE STREAM, Game Time, Badgers Host the Wildcats in a Big Ten Matchup
This afternoon will feature a big time Big Ten matchup between the No. 19 Northwestern Wildcats and the Wisconsin Badgers. Ironically with the Badgers bye week last week, both of these teams have lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes in their most recent games. Don't let the 3-2 record fool you, the Badgers are a tough team to score on and are very tough road test for the Wildcats. Despite being unranked they actually come into today's game as the favorite in most people's eyes.
Despite being 4-1 and ranked No. 19 overall, the Wildcats find themselves in a stacked Big Ten conference behind Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Iowa. A win today against Wisconsin would be a huge victory for the Wildcats and put them back in contention for a top ten ranking.
The Wildcats faced a tough loss to Ohio State last week, but they also showed that they can play with the best in college football. The Wildcats are getting healthy on the offensive side of the ball just in time. Running back Venric Mark returned to action last weekend and looked solid carrying the ball 17 times.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin is also getting healthy coming off a bye week. Running back Melvin Gordon should be good to go for this afternoon's game, which is great news for Badgers fans. Gordon has seven touchdowns, while averaging over ten yards per carry this season. Also, tight end Jacob Pederson and wide receiver Kenzel Doe should be ready to play in today's game, according to ESPN.
Playing at home, OddsShark.com has the Wisconsin Badgers as ten point favorites and I am going to agree with Vegas on this one. I see the Badgers defense being too much for the Wildcats to handle.
Today's game in Madison, Wisconsin kicks off at 3:30pm ET. The game will be airing on ABC and ESPN 2. You can likely find the online live stream through WATCHESPN.
