50 Shades of Grey Movie Cast UPDATE: Charlie Hunnam QUITS Christian Grey, 'Busy Schedule,' Matt Bomer as Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) New Kinky Lover?
Just last month, E.L. James and producers officially announced which lucky Hollywood pair would play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Some fans were upset, but "Sons of Anarchy" heartthrob Charlie Hunna and stunning actress Dakota Johnson snagged the kinky roles. But now, reports confirm that 33-year-old Hunnam recently dropped out of the casting run, claiming his schedule was "too busy." Now what!? Will fan-favorite Matt Bomer finally be named the the handsomely seductive Mr. Grey?
Universal Pictures released in a statement on Saturday (Oct. 12):
"The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey."
E.L. James later tweeted:
@E_L_James: "Okay girls and boys - hold on to your hats - it's about to get serious..."
@E_L_James: "I wish Charlie all the best. x."
So what do "Fifty Shades" loyalists think? Several Christian Grey fans always wanted "White Collar" cutie Matt Bomer to sag the hot-and-steamy role. Would he now reconsider since Hunnam's officially out?
Stay tuned!
