Pitbull, Ke$ha Tour Cancelled: Australian Leg of 'Timber' Duo's Worldwide String of Shows Scrapped Following Poor Ticket Sales

Australians who want to party with Pitbull and Ke$ha will have to find another way. Just a little more than two weeks out of the Australian Tour 2013 concert trek, the duo has cancelled their string of shows, reportedly due to low ticket sales.

Pitbull announced the shows cancellations on his Facebook page earlier this week (via Billboard). "Regrettably, the promoter is cancelling the Australian Tour, refunds will be available at the point of purchase. We hope to return to Australia in the not too distant future," he wrote on the social media site. Promoter Daily Group was set to promote the group of shows.

The "Timber" duo was set to take on five cities Down Under, beginning Oct. 30: Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. Justice Crew, an Australian hip-hop/pop boy band, was set to open.

Pitbull and Ke$ha recently released their second single together, "Timber," which equates knocking down shots to knocking down trees in the forest. The upbeat, accordion-infused party anthem followed a promotional remix of Ke$ha's single "Crazy Kids," which was used to help spread the word about their tour together.

The North American leg of the Pitbull/Ke$ha tour concluded on June 28 in Tampa, Florida.
