Lupe Fiasco, Eminem Beef: 'Tetsuo' Rapper Calls Out 'Rap God' On Twitter
It appears I'm not the only one who didn't like "Rap God." Noted Twitter beefer/sometimes capable rapper Lupe Fiasco took a shot at Em for retreading "No Church In The Wild," subtly claiming that Eminem missed the meaning behind Frank Ocean's hook and that he was no fan of Shady's latest.
",,,What's a God to a non-believer again? Hahahah...Shots!" wrote Lupe.
The tweet is especially pertinent to Em, who has a hardcore group of built-in followers that immediately like anything he releases (I can't fault them, I'm a Jay Z apologist myself). Lupe has a similar fanbase though it is nowhere near as large or vocal. In this tweet, Lupe is saying he doesn't buy into Em's hype and, objectively speaking, doesn't see much in the song.
Maybe Em and Lupe could hash this out by sitting down, grabbing a few drinks and reminiscing over when they used to be rap greats.
