Kid Cudi Announces New EP at Dallas Tour Stop: Music Release Date in Next Three Months, Will Bridge Together 'Indicud' and 'Man on the Moon 3'
Expect new music from Kid Cudi sometime in the next three months. At a recent Cud Life Tour stop in Dallas, the "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper announced that he will release a new EP sometime during the next three months.
In a video posted to MissInfo.tv, Cudi revealed that the EP will drop sometime in the fall or winter, but the exact date will be a surprise to fans.
"When I give you the release date, it will be 24 hours before it's released. You won't know when it's going to happen, but it's going to happen sometime in the next three months," he said. "I mean, Man on the Moon 3 isn't coming out until 2015. I couldn't not got you more new music, right?! What kind of dude would I be... it wouldn't be Cudi."
The yet-to-be-titled EP will be a bridge between Cudi's April 2013 album Inducid and Man on the Moon 3, due out in 2015. "Now, this will be a prelude to Man on the Moon 3; it's all attached to the story. When Man on the Moon 3 comes out, you'll be able to play this EP and segue it into Man on the Moon 3; it will be a seamless connection," he explained. "It will be a continuation from the end of 'The Flight of the Moon Man' on Indicud."
The rapper also announced that he worked with Dot Da Genius and that King Chip will make a guest appearance on the record.
The massive Texas audience responded with raucous applause to the announcement, but of course.
