Taylor Swift New Movie 2013 [PHOTO]: 'The Giver' Starts Filming & 'Sweeter Than Fiction' Songstress is Brunette for Role, Wig or Hair Dye?

Taylor Swift is currently filming her scenes for the new movie, The Giver, and it looks like her character has brunette hair! A new picture revealed the brunette look, but it turns out it's simply a wig for her time filming the movie. Plus, after her day of filming she was seen out to dinner with co-stars Alexander Skarsgård and Katie Holmes.

The film also stars Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Brenton Thwaites, and Cameron Monaghan.

Taylor recently revealed that her recent "Red" tour dates in Los Angeles served as somewhat of an audition for some important movie executives in the audience.

When ABC News Radio asked Taylor how she got involved in the movie, Taylor said: "Actually, the movie came about very unexpectedly."

"When I played my shows in L.A., I was unaware that people from this movie were in the audience, and I had a role offered to me the next week," the singer said. "I think my show tends to be very emotional and moody and they saw something that they needed in the role. So, I'm very honored and lucky to get to be a part of it, and we'll see how it goes."

Taylor's monumentally successful 2013 "Red" tour has apparently paid off in a number of ways, especially with this film role.

The award-winning songstress added a plea to the end of the interview as well: "Please wish me luck."
