Rock ruled the Billboard 200 this week. One of the biggest names in rock by way of the grunge era, Pearl Jam, came in at No. 1 on the albums chart with its 10th studio album Lightning Bolt, according to Billboard.

The electrifying rock effort from Pearl Jam sold 166,000 copies in its first week, marking the band's fifth chart-topping record. Though this is the smallest amount of records Pearl Jam have sold in its first week with a new studio album, it's still impressive for a new music release in 2013.

Classic rock continued to dominate the charts with the legendary Paul McCartney's most recent solo record New. The former Beatle sold 67,000 copies and landed at No. 3.

Who came in between the two rock 'n' roll bigwigs? None other than modern pop twerker Miley Cyrus. Bangerz, last week's No. 1 record, fell one spot to No. 2, selling 72,000 copies. In total, Cyrus' fourth studio effort has moved 342,000 copies of her comeback effort. It's safe to say, Miley's a success, y'all.

She isn't the only former No. 1 to still perform well on the charts this week. Drake's stellar Nothing Was The Same fell one spot to No. 4 this week, selling 58,000 copies. After having the second-best debut week of 2013, Drizzy has sold a total of 947,000 copies, making a cool million seem like its only a week or two away.

Alternating pop and rock continues on the Billboard 200, as The Avett Brothers' latest effort Magpie and the Dandelion moved 58,000 copies and lands at No. 5.

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery's second studio album See You Tonight comes in at No. 6 (52,000), and Lorde's Pure Heroine follows in the No. 7 slot with 48,000 copies. Cher rebounds with the help of a concert promotion and her new album Closer to the Truth rises from No. 11 to 8, selling 45,000 copies. Willie Nelson's To All the Girls sold 43,000 copies and lands at No. 9 and indie folk/rock band The Head and The Heart's second studio album Let's Be Still debuted at No. 10 with 42,000 records sold.
