First Look: Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves After Their Wedding
The couple is renowned to embrace more of the unique rather than the traditional. That is why their marriage, even their wedding looks surprised many as People magazine puts Mr. and Mrs. McConaughey on their cover.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves looked great on their first public wedding picture. The actor was wearing a smart black tuxedo while his bride in a long-sleeve lace beaded wedding gown. The two looked happy as they gazed at each other in the intimate picture.
In an interview he granted with People magazine, Matthew said that marriage was an adventure that they both agreed to take together.
"We decided to embrace the ritual of marriage as an opportunity and adventure we'll take together," he said. The couple was joined by 120 guests including Reese Witherspoon and Woody Harrelson when they tied the knot on June 9th at their home in Austin, Texas.
Their two children, 3-year-old Levi and 2-year-old Vida participated in their parent's wedding by being the ring bearer and the flower girl for the occasion. The pair was said to have exchanged "whispered vows" by telling it on each other's ears.
"No one knew what they said. Whatever they said was very emotional. Camila was tearing up," one of the guests said.
Matthew and Camila had been together for six years before getting engaged last year in December. A representative on McConaughey said that Camila have taken Matthew's surname.
The after party happened on the grounds of their property. Matthew set up luxury tents to provide accommodation for their guests. The state-of-the-art tents had their own private bath, air conditioning, and beds.
