Kelly Clarkson 'Underneath the Tree' lyric video, new single 2013 from 'Wrapped in Red' gets Christmas treatment with Santa, snow and more [WATCH]
Halloween may be the holiday that's on most people's minds this week, but Kelly Clarkson is all about Christmas. The new bride has released a lyric video for her new Christmas single, "Underneath the Tree."
The lead track from her upcoming album Wrapped in Red, which is due in stores tomorrow (Oct. 29) despite a leak last week, "Underneath the Tree" got a fittingly adorable lyric video.
In the style of bubbly computer animation, a little girl (who looks quite a bit like a young Clarkson) sneaks down into her living room after Santa came to town and opens up a gift: a snowy, snowy snow globe. As she gazes into the wintery orb, scenes of wintery fun and Christmas cheer appear. There's sleds zooming down a hill, trucks delivering Christmas trees and plowing snow lyrics and happy families celebrating the holiday in their homes.
Of course, there are also delightful warm images of cookies, cocoa and toy trains just to add a little more fun spice to the holiday video.
The song itself is an instant Christmas classic. Featuring jangly jingle bells, a poppy piano and strong, blasted vocals from the always talented Clarkson, the song is perfect to sing along to on the way to bustling shopping malls this holiday season.
