According to a new report from Jedi News, we might have our first casting for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII film directed by J.J. Abrams. Harrison Ford has reportedly signed on to reprise his role as Han Solo in the 2015 blockbuster! Not only that, the 70-year-old actor apparently used this movie deal to ensure a fifth installment of Indiana Jones. We just gave you two movie updates!

"Ford wanted to see the synopsis for his character's development over more than just Episode 7," Jedi News reported. "He saw this in August and is happy with the story arc."

"Ford wanted a commitment to Indy 5," the site continued. "He did not get this as there is no plot line or script in place. What did happen was an agreement was made wherein an outline would be developed by the end of calendar year 2014, and if all parties can agree to it moving forward, efforts would be made to move on Indy 5 for release before the end of 2016."

This casting news comes after months and months of Ford avoiding, dodging and denying questions and rumors about his involvement in the upcoming Episode VII movie. He was notoriously silent on this subject but this new report is saying that he has been quite involved in the project since the end of the summer!

Does Harrison Ford's alleged involvement get you excited for this new take on the Star Wars franchise? Will there be an element of the original trilogy in the upcoming movie? Share your opinion below!
