Watch Kim Kardashian talk to Jay Leno on 'Tonight Show' about her butt and Instagram selfies

Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and fiancé of Kanye West Kim Kardashian appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this week and talked openly about Instagram selfies of her butt. There isn't much else to this story except that her most recent butt selfie was explained to Leno as a metaphoric middle finger to those who made fun of her for being "fat" while pregnant with her first daughter, North West.

Anyway, Kardashian used her Tonight Show appearance to talk a bit about why she posted this racy picture.

"I was gaining weight because I was pregnant and it was really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things," the reality star explained to Jay. "And I think people sometimes question, they think I'm out 'in hiding' now...No, I just wanted to kinda adjust my life a little bit because why would I subject myself to so much negativity, especially now that I have a daughter? I just didn't need that energy, I'd rather be in a happy place at home... I've definitely tried to live more of a private life because of that, because they were so nasty. Why even go out as much just to put yourself in that position?"
