Will Dean Norris Appear in 'Breaking Bad' Spinoff 'Better Call Saul'?
Dean Norris earned plenty of well-deserved acclaim for his role as DEA agent, and Walter White's brother-in-law, Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad. The news of a prequel spinoff, Better Call Saul, made fans wonder which characters from the original show could appear on the new one. Is Norris one of them?
Norris reveals in the following video interview with E! that he could be too busy to appear on the show.
"It's a prequel, so they've actually talked to us about coming back because it's a prequel as opposed to a sequel," Norris said. "But I've got another show that I'm doing, Under the Dome, so I don't think I can do anything. I'm under contract."
The actor currently plays Big Jim on the CBS show based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. E! then asked if Norris keeps in touch with his Breaking Bad castmates.
"Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. And hopefully we'll be back next year for the...we're still eligible for the Emmys next year," Norris said. "So if people remember us, please, we'll be back next year for the Emmys."
Better Call Saul will focus on fan-favorite character and shady lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) before he ever meets Walter White. Vince Gilligan, the genius behind Breaking Bad, will be involved in the spinoff show, as well.
