Is the Tanner family going to return to TV? A sequel to the hit, wholesome '90s sitcom Full House is reportedly in the works, in a viral article from Disney Treasures. Unfortunately for fans of the cheesy, family-friendly show, the Full House sequel seems to be an old April Fools joke once again making the rounds on the Internet.

According to the faux story, series creator Jeff Franklin said that he was approached by ABC to write a new storyline for the Full House family, and that the vast majority of the cast was interested in returning to life in San Francisco. The story, originally posted on April 1, has once again made the rounds on social media sites like Facebook and got picked up by celebrity gossip blog OhNoTheyDidnt.

On the surface, the story seems legitimate. 1990s culture is just as popular today as it was in the original 20th century decade, and Full House remains on the air in 11 countries almost 20 years after its final episode aired. However, further investigation on the sources used in the article reveal a silly meme photo with a giant "APRIL FOOLS" caption.

It's unclear exactly why the story has gone viral once again seven months after its original publishing date.

One possibility is the impending debut of a real sequel to a wholesome '90s sitcom: Girl Meets World. The show, a true sequel to Boy Meets World following the life of Cory and Topanga Mattews and their daughter Riley, is set to debut in 2014.

Additionally, the cast of Full House have reignited some aspects of the show recently. Over the summer, John Stamos appeared in full Jesse character to perform a melody of his Full House singles on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Stamos' TV wife Becky (Lori Loughlin) even appeared on screen to give him a big ol' kiss post-performance.
