The Hunger Games 2 Catching Fire First Clip Shows Gale and Katniss Arguing [VIDEO]
Liam Hemsworth stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday to promote The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and he brought with him the first clip of the much-anticipated sequel.
After an anecdote about Jennifer Lawrence's on-set humor, Hemsworth played a clip that shows a confrontation between Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne. In the scene, Katniss is talking about running away but Gale tries to convince her to stay.
"You haven't hurt people, Katniss. You've given them an opportunity," Gale tells her. "They just have to be brave enough to take it."
Katniss pleads with him to leave with her before the authorities come to kill them, but Gale asks her what happens to the other families that stay behind if the two of them leave. He tells her that people are looking to her, but she says, somewhat angrily, that she does not want that because she can't help them. Just then, some trucks roll by and Katniss and Gale duck. Gale tells her to do what she wants, but he is staying.
