Sia to donate proceeds from Eminem 'MMLP2' collaboration to LGBT charity
After catching some flack for collaborating with Eminem (whose lyrics have been, at times, anti-gay), Sia has decided to donate all proceeds from her MMLP2 deluxe edition track to a charity that benefits homeless LGBT youths.
When I heard 'Rap God' I was very anxious," Sia told a HuffPo writer "He has a character called Slim Shady who represents the worst and darkest bile of America. I see how it can be unclear."
However, the performance art explanation didn't seem to get across to Sia's fans, so the openly gay singer decided to donate the proceeds to the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.
According to SheWired, "her contribution will help to fund programs for a 50-bed shelter, a transitional living program, medical care, meals, clothing, counseling, GED prep programs, job placement services and more."
