Sparklehorse tribute asking for donations

Want to see a Sparklehorse tribute album featuring covers by The  Flaming Lips, Mark Lanegan, Mercury Rev and Phantogram? Of course you do, you're people. And you make it happen by donating to this Indiegogo campaign.

Sparklehorse was fronted by Mark Linkous, a multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter who struggled with addiction over the course of his decade-plus career before committing suicide in 2010. The tribute album to his project, titled Last Box Of Sparklers is being put together by Box of Stars, a non-profit company that works to raise awareness of issues surrounding mental illness.

The Indiegogo campaign has raised a little more than $20K but needs $50K to cover pressing costs and a marketing campaign with 9 days left. $20 dollars gets you a download of the album, $30 gets you the 2 CD set on up to $50 which guarantees a limited edition vinyl of the tribute. All contributors get shouted out in the thank you section of the albums liner notes.

In addition to the artists mentioned above (who have already recorded their contributions), The Joy Formidable and Portugal. The Man are both waiting to add to the tracklisting.
