Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model Kate Upton may have been cast in the upcoming, highly anticipated adaptation of HBO's hit series Entourage. This rumor comes from many sources that are "familiar" with the current pre-production project and states that the 21-year-old model could be cast as the lead female role and/or the love interest of star Adrian Grenier's Vincent Chase character.

The Wrap broke this story, stating:

Though Upton has not been formally offered the role yet, she is in early discussions to join the cast, according to sources. While a representative for the swimsuit model-turned-actress has denied that any such talks are under way, they acknowledge that there was interest in Upton for the project earlier this year.

According to this film news website, Warner Bros. Pictures has yet to comment on Upton's involvement in this Entourage film project.

This movie has been in production limbo ever since the series went off the air in 2011. According to numerous reports, stars Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara were holding out for better contracts, but that is all in the past now. The stars signed on for the project and now casting has moved on to other characters like the one Upton is rumored to be up for.

This wouldn't be Kate Upton's first acting gig though. The model also appeared in Tower Heist and The Three Stooges movie, and will soon be seen alongside Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the comedy The Other Woman.
