Lou Reed's final playlist, according to Spotify
While a bit morbid, this playlist that was curated from Lou Reed's Spotify activity before his death last month proves that even at 71 Reed oozed cool. The Velvet Underground guitarist's final listens included Fucked Up, King Khan & BBQ Show, Of Montreal, Deerhoof and Nicki Minaj (as well as classics by Prince, Roy Orbison, Tom Waits and Miles Davis).
In addition to tracks by blues master Howlin' Wolf and soul legend Otis Redding, Reed was listening to the sounds of modern-day indie acts like Perfume Genius, Ty Segall and Dr. Dog. (Also, I'd be crazy if I didn't point out that a 71-year-old was rocking to some Napalm Death).
According to Spotify, the last track that Reed streamed on the service was "Say It Isn't So" by Hall & Oates.
