It seems as though Chris Brown just can't catch a break but since his latest stunt, it looks like he has a new supporter in his corner.

After a brawl with a fan last month, Brown checked into rehab for anger management but rapper Method Man has stepped up in the singer's defense.

In an interview with XXL, Method Man defended Brown and pointed fingers at the blogs for instigating the situation. The aforementioned scuffle ensued after a male fan allegedly tried to jump into a photo with Brown.

Brown was arrested for felony assault but according to Method Man, if it weren't for his celebrity, things would have turned out differently for Brown.

"I woulda whooped his a-- too," Method Man said. "But based off the fact that it's Chris Brown, they're making a big deal about it. I feel bad for the dude. And the bloggers, all these other sideline people with their opinions, aren't making it any better."

Method Man also added that the public needs to be more empathic of Brown's status. "My thing is, if you were in that same situation, how would you handle it? Maybe you wouldn't have handled it in the same way Chris did, but you would have been just as angry. Don't f----n' act like he's some kind of animal and s---."

The rapper noted that there have been noticeable changes in the media and their relations with celebrities. "You just gotta understand, I've been doing this s--- for a long time in the past few years, I've seen the change in the media, and it's ugly as hell," he added. "I don't believe in kissing an artist's a--, I believe in going right for the story, but when you're trying to make a f-----n' story? How tacky is that? How tactless? And that's what it feels like now.
