Glee Season 5 SPOILERS: Rachel Losing Her Lead Broadway Role?
After an emotional early start to Glee Season 5 because of Cory Monteith's death, the show has started to returned to more upbeat stories, including (for better or worse) the most recent twerking episode. But some unfortunate events could be on the horizon for the characters in New York.
The "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online reports that a new character will appear in the ninth episode of the season and he or she will audition for a show on Broadway. Seems innocent enough, but the worst case scenario could see Rachel (Lea Michele) lose her lead role on Broadway:
"Jason: Happy Glee is back, especially my New York crew. Can you tell me what's coming up with Rachel, Santana and Kurt?
We're going to meet a character in episode nine that is auditioning (very badly) for a Broadway show. Now why are we peeking in on Broadway auditions? Many possibilities, the worst of which is that Rachel somehow loses her part in Funny Girl and must try again elsewhere. Or someone else in the group takes a stab at making it to the big stage. Or it's just a random appearance, but c'mon...this is Glee. Something is going on."
The problem with this theory is that it's a long road from a horrendous Broadway audition for a random new character to Rachel's losing her part in Funny Girl. But as the spoiler suggests, anything can happen on this wacky show called Glee and a random appearance is usually never all that random.
