Check out the first 'Star Wars Episode VII' set photos w/ R2D2 and J.J. Abrams at the Bad Robot workshop!
We all know that there isn't much news about Star Wars Episode VII coming out these days besides the usual casting rumors and boring Disney updates. So when Bad Robot (J.J. Abrams' production company) posted the included photo below on its Twitter account, we all got a bit more excited for the film thanks to one thing: R2D2!
Check out this great new photo from the Bad Robot workshop of one of the greatest Star Wars characters:

We see J.J. and some Bad Robot workers along with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy all standing around everyone's favorite little droid. So at least we know that R2 will be making some sort of appearance in the upcoming blockbuster, set for a December 18, 2015, release.

Meanwhile, another Bad Robot film is set to open just one week after Star Wars Episode VII. According to a new release update for 2015, we'll be seeing Mission: Impossible 5 just 7 days after returning to a galaxy far, far away.
The film will reunite audiences with Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise of course, and Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie. Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce penned this new script as well. Abrams is set to produce, so clearly either film's success would work out for him.
