AMC's hit series Breaking Bad came to an amazing conclusion earlier this fall and fans were pretty happy with how the finale panned out. Leading up to this final episode, there were countless theories as to how it would really end, one of which was a funny witness protection-themed conclusion involving Bryan Cranston's other popular and very different television series Malcolm in the Middle. But this week, Cranston, with the help of Malcolm co-star Jane Kaczmarek, took this theory a step further with an "alternate ending" sketch.

So instead of Walter White surviving his meth-dealing life and going into witness protection as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle, this funny alternate ending takes queues from the iconic ending to Newhart, where everything turns out to be a dream.

So Hal (Cranston) waked up in bed with his wife after dreaming all of Breaking Bad and explains everything in a comical, dimwitted way. His wife Lois laughs it all off.

Seeing these iconic characters together again is a great treat for fans of the comedy that has been regarded as one of the best series of all time. Though very different than Breaking Bad, Malcolm in the Middle has received very similar critical acclaim thanks mainly to Cranston and Kaczmarek's chemistry.

So check out this great "alternate ending" to Breaking Bad that takes fans back to Malcolm in the Middle in the most brilliant way possible!

What did you think of this "alternate ending?" Is it believable of just a fun way to celebrate both Cranston shows?
