Russell Brand Talks About Divorce: ‘Did Work Out in a Way’

Russell Brand spoke to Lorraine Kelly about his marriage and divorce with Katy Perry.

"When I was married? Well it did work out in a way because you are married for some time, and that's really good, and then you're not married, and that's really good," Brand said on the show.

"You just have to have acceptance of things. She is a person that I love, but now this is a new time," he added.

The 37-year-old British comedian Brand and the 27-year-old American singer Perry had a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in October 2010.

"I suppose a divorce is difficult isn't it, because of the admin! There's a lot of admin."

Brand and Perry split on December 2011 after 14 months of marriage. Both have rejected to talk in detail about their separation, but their divorce was announced after media speculation that the couple got into a massive fight.

Brand starred in the recent film 'Rock of Ages' as Lonny Barnett, the manager of The Bourbon Room.
