Fans of Supernatural know lots of things about Dean Winchester. He loves classic rock. His favorite pistol has a white handle. He drinks whiskey. He loves, but never gets, pie. But Tuesday's new episode, "Bad Boys," will reveal some information about Dean's past that not even his brother Sam knew.

The following preview clip for the newest Season 9 episode features Dean getting a phone call from an old friend named Sonny, who has a case for the brothers. Sam asks about Sonny, and Dean reveals that when they were younger and their dad was out on a hunt of his own, Dean lost their food money in a poker game. He tried to steal some food from the market but got caught and sent to a boys' home for a few months where Sonny took care of him. Now, he needs their help.

Furthermore, Sam appears to be more tired than usual. Dean tries to talk to Ezekiel again but the angel does not emerge, and Sam is left confused. Check out the clip below:

Here is the CW's official description for the episode, which airs Tuesday night at 9 p.m. Eastern:

"Dean (Jensen Ackles) gets a call from an old friend named Sonny (guest star Blake Gibbons) asking for help with a ghost. Sonny runs a home for delinquent boys, and Dean was sent there for stealing food when he was younger. Sam (Jared Padalecki) is stunned he never knew this about his brother and asks for more information, but Dean dodges his questions. Another murder occurs while Sam and Dean are at the house, so they scramble to find the culprit before anyone else dies. Meanwhile, Dean looks up an old girlfriend (guest star Erin Karpluk) and recalls his time at the house."
