New Photo of Jamie Foxx as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

One of the big attractions for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been the presence of Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon aka Electro. Previously released photos and trailers from the film have shown Foxx in blue makeup as the villainous Electro, but a new photo shows him as the mild-mannered Max Dillon.

Screen Rant posted the photo (which you can view at this link) that shows Max Dillon extending his arm to touch what appears to be the inside of a machine. There are silver tubes and aluminum foil walls in the background of the photo. The trailer shown at Comic-Con seemed to indicate that Dillon would transform into Electro via some hardware or experiment at Oscorp (unlike the power line accident from the comics), so perhaps this new photo shows the inside of that machine.

The possibilities are numerous when it comes to The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Director Marc Webb tweeted photos from the set from each day of filming, but the actual details about the plot of the movie itself are still vague. How exactly does Dillon turn into Electro? How do the Rhino, the Green Goblin and any other potential villains fit into the picture? What about the goings-on at Oscorp? There's plenty that still needs to be answered, but mystery and intrigue will only help sell the movie when it comes out on May 2, 2014.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Paul Giamatti as Rhino and Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn.
