Adam Lambert and 'Glee' cast members will perform at Trevor Project’s gala annual fundraiser, TrevorLIVE
Adam Lambert, American Idol alum will join Glee cast members Jane Lynch, Darren Criss, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera and Chris Colfer at this year's TrevorLIVE fundraiser at the Hollywood Palladium on Dec. 8.
The Trevor Project's gala raises money to provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ youth. Comedian Kathy Griffin will host and Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award-winning actress Lynch will be honored by the organization.
"We are deeply honored to announce Jane Lynch as our Trevor Hero Award honoree. Through her career and personal endeavors, Jane has emerged to be an unabashed proponent of equality for LGBTQ people, using her influence to pave the way for the futures of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth," said Abbe Land, Executive Director and CEO of The Trevor Project.
Lambert, who has had much success even after not winning the title on the reality competition show, will be performing on stage next to Riley, Megan Hilty from Smash and previous Glee star Cheyenne Jackson.
In addition, many other actors and celebs will make appearances, like Sarah Michelle Gellar of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Becca Tobin, Dot-Marie Jones and Harry Shum, Jr. from Glee, Hannah Simone from New Girl, Andrew Rannells of Girls, Allison Janney, Ricki Lake, Brent Daugherty and Jennifer Coolidge from American Pie.
Adam Shankman, So You Think You Can Dance Judge, will be producing the show. He has previous producing and directing credits for Hairspray, Glee, Rock of Ages and the 2010 Academy Awards.
Tyler Oakley and Shira Lazar will be co-hosting the red carpet arrivals segment that will stream live online. The organization encourages viewers to Tweet any questions for Griffin or Lynch to @TrevorProject using the hashtag #TrevorLIVE!
