Best Celebrity Instagrams of the Week: celebrate the 2013 word of the year 'selfie' with self portraits of Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kylie Jenner and more [PHOTOS]

Earlier this week, Oxford Dictionary named "selfie" as the international Word of the Year 2013. For those completely unaware, selfie has been added to the dictionary and is now defined as thus: "a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website." And, what social media site is better for the selfie than Instagram? Yes, in this week's edition of Best Celebrity Instagrams, we'll relive the week with the art of the selfie.

Most celebrities will celebrate themselves from time to time with the classic Instagram selfie, but nobody does it quite as often or quite as tongue-waggingly as Miley Cyrus. This week, of course, the "Wrecking Ball" singer snapped a quick pic of herself, but this time, she showed off some newly bleached eyebrows. Not sure if this is a great look, but it definitely is high fashion.

Cyrus didn't just pop up in her own Instagram selfie! Returned English pop star and noted Miley lover Lily Allen snapped a pic of the her and her friend in a super smiley moment.

Also, really digging that Muppets sweater.

The double selfie is a classic Instagram move and was demonstrated by several celebs this week. Pretty Little Liars star and aspiring country musician Lucy Hale took a quick selfie with BFF Jean-Luc Bilodeau...

Kevin Jonas loved on his expecting wife Danielle.

Khloe Kardashian snapped a stunning shot with her bestie.

And Demi Lovato was reunited with someone from her childhood.

In another classic selfie move, Lovato pulls off the "kissy face" very well here with ol' Minnie Mouse.

Sometimes a selfie is for no other purpose than showing the world how crazy beautiful you are. Selena Gomez stunned in her own photo this week.

And Khloe Kardashian's little sister Kylie Jenner must've learned from the best of them. She showed off her bold, dark lipstick in this post-Catching Fire snapshot.

A selfie can show off your personality, too, of course! Rihanna displayed her total sense of ennui.

And Snoop Dogg did what he does best... lighting one up (and taking a selfie while doing so).
